SPC1/SPC1F Microprocessor Controlled Chargers

The SPC1 family of chargers is a microprocessor controlled rectifier used to provide constant DC voltage output. These chargers are designed primarily for float applications, but can be used as a DC supply if equipped with the battery eliminator option.

Features

Fault Detection Alarm System
Standard equipment on all SPC1 chargers with push button mode selection.

Universal Control Boards
Both control and display boards and board connections are universal.

Battery Eliminator Option
Charger may be operated as a DC source without batteries.

On-Line Adjustment
Control, alarm and operating level set points are adjusted digitally from front control panel while charger is on-line without interruption of charger.

Equalize Modes
Can operate with continuous timed, automatically timed or AC interrupt equalize mode.

Control Disable
Disable control panel for tamper-free operation.

Installation
Cabinets can be installed on the floor, wall or on 19”or 23” (option) relay rack. Cable and conduit knockouts provided on top and right side.

Modular Construction
All parts are designed for easy maintenance and replacement.

SLR/SLRF Single Phase and TLR/TLRF Three Phase Battery Chargers

The SLR - TLR series of battery chargers is constant voltage, current limited, SCR controlled, and designed to float charge all types of stationary lead acid and nickel cadmium batteries. The three phase (TLR model) charger is of a six pulse design. SLR - TLR chargers are suitable for all types of standby applications and are capable of supplying the load while recharging or maintaining the batteries in a fully charged condition. The SLR - TLR series is ideally suited to utility, industrial, and other standby applications.

Features

Ease of adjustment
Tap adjustments are not required. Output float voltage, equalize voltage, current limit and alarm levels are potentiometer adjustable.

Easy serviceability
Control circuits, alarm circuits and electrical subassemblies are modularized with plug and socket connections for easy removal and insertion.

Long life and reliability
Electronic and electrical components are substantially derated to assure long life and reliability. Typical MTBF is 100,000 hours. Components are selected or designed to provide a system life expectancy of at least 20 years.

Ease of installation
Cabinets are floor, wall or rack mountable and equipped with knockouts for cable or conduit entrance. Input, output and remote alarm connections are wired to easily accessible, internal terminals.

Easy trouble-shooting
A complete service manual, numbered wiring, and detailed electrical schematics make trouble shooting easy.

Lower maintenance costs
Control modules and many electrical subassemblies are standardized across the entire range of charger sizes. This minimizes spare parts inventory and simplifies maintenance.

Lower operating costs
Constant charger efficiency down to 20% load reduces power consumption compared to other technologies.

Extended battery life
Optional temperature compensation feature and additional filtering extends life of valve regulated type batteries.
