PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The 662 Plant is a DC-to-DC converter system that operates from +24VDC and outputs 10 Amps at -48VDC for each converter module installed. A total of four converter shelves are available with the system. When all four converter shelves are fully equipped with converter modules (four converter modules per shelf), the system will output a total of 160 Amps at -48VDC. These converters work in parallel to provide load sharing and redundancy, which are vital for network stability. They come equipped with a user-friendly interface for easy status indication and internal DC protection that reduces the risk of module failure due to a short circuit or high voltage condition. The SM48P10A-D converters mount laterally in a single, low profile shelf, which is the height of one DC-to-DC converter. Increasing converter capacity is done by simply plugging another DC-to-DC converter into the shelf, which requires no service interruption or special tools.
